OPTION ONE: 99.9% of the time you simply login to the account you registered your domain name and find the "Custom Name Servers" fields. Then enter our two url's (below) into the first and second fields, and save them. That's it. ALL DONE!

Hint: Most registrars allow you to do this in Bulk! That means you can select all the names you want to move over to Domain Embarking and switch the DNS in masse. That way, as you Embark them and receive approvals, they will go live instantly. Until then all traffic will be diverted to the Mass Opinion Network.

Step One:
Select your name from your portfolio and then press the Nameservers button.



Step Two
Select "Custom Nameservers" Then when screen changes, enter the two Custom Nameservers and press OK.



That's All. Log-out, you're done!

 

Option 2: For those websites that need email services please follow the instructions below for all names registered with Domain Embarking. In addition to the instruction below you will want to find out from your Email provider what DNS settings they require, and implement them on the configuration screens. FYI: Our setup screen are identical to GoDaddy. For domain names not registered with us you might have to contact customer support of your registrar to help you through this one time. This is what you tell them: I would like to set my domain name to use your DNS servers, and in addition I would like to change my WWW CNAME to use the following IP address: 209.172.35.148. I also have a mail server with (whoever), and they recommend I enter the following entries. (Please visit your email provider and find out the DNS settings from them and pass that on to the person you are talking to)

Step One:
Select your name from your portfolio and then press the Nameservers button.



Step Two
Select DEFAULT HOSTING NAMESERVERS and press OK.



Step Three
Return to Domain list and Click ON the domain name.


Step Four
Press TOTAL DNS CONTROL and MX RECORDS



Step Five
Click on the little pencil.


Step Six
Enter 209.172.35.148 in the "Points to ip Address" field and press OK.




Check with your email provider for additional MX(mail) DNS entries that need to be made.
